Aki Tachibana

Bio:
Tachibana joined TAKENAKA Corporation in 1988. In 1998, he was appointed as the company’s local representative in Kauai, Hawaii, and subsequently in New York from 2002. During his tenure abroad, he was responsible for property acquisitions and asset management of the company’s holdings. His experience in hotel assets includes serving as the owner’s representative for the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Hotel Nikko San Francisco, as well as leading the acquisition of the Andaz 5th Avenue in New York.
Upon returning to Japan in 2016, he was appointed A Division Head of the Investment & Development Division, where he assumed overall responsibility for TAKENAKA’s domestic and international real estate operations. In the hotel sector, he has led the company’s proprietary hotel developments, including Park Hyatt Kyoto and the hotel conversion project at Yokohama City Hall. Additionally, he has supported foreign investors in hotel development and acquisitions in Japan, providing expertise both as a construction partner and joint investor.
In 2024, he was appointed Executive Managing Officer of TAKENAKA.
