Ben Zhu

Ben Zhu joined Muzinich in October 2020 as the first employee under the Hong Kong office, as part of the Asia Pacific Private Credit Team. In 2024, Muzinich launched an infrastructure and real assets lending strategy with Orion3, an affiliate of Cheung Kong Assets.  

He has 16 years’ experience in Asia debt markets across private, public, performing and distressed credit across both corporate and real assets. Prior to that Ben was responsible for private debt, syndicated loan trading and special situations business Asia Pacific with a focus on the Greater China opportunities at the global loans and special situations, Asia Pacific team at HSBC. He also spent 4 years at COWELL & LEE Capital Management in Hong Kong focusing on private debt, distressed and special situation opportunities in Asia Pacific. He began his career at RBS and JPM where he spent 5 years in the DCM and leveraged finance team in HK.
