Joseph Wong

Bio:

Joseph Wong leads Ascott’s portfolio in China, driving growth and strengthening the business in this strategic market. 

In his role, Joseph oversees the overall performance of the business, managing all functional teams to enhance efficiency and deliver strong performance results. With a focus on growth, he also spearheads business strategies to unlock new development opportunities, including franchise and joint venture partnerships to deliver accelerated expansion across this important market. 

Joseph brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Ascott, he was with IHG Hotels & Resorts as Vice President, Franchise Performance and Holiday Inn Express, Greater China. During his tenure there, he led two major growth engines for IHG in Greater China including its franchise business and the Holiday Inn Express brand, covering more than 500 properties, both operational and in the pipeline. 

Joseph holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and attended the Advanced Management Programme at National University of Singapore.
