Paul Kitamura

Bio:
Paul Kitamura is a 4-decade veteran of the hospitality industry and currently serves as Chief Hospitality Officer for Pontiac Land Group. In this role, he is responsible for an international luxury hotel portfolio comprising iconic properties such as the Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore, Capella Singapore, Capella Sydney and Ritz Carlton Fari Islands Maldives.
Earlier, Paul served as Head, Asset Management & Sustainability for M&C REIT Management Limited, a Singapore based global hotel REIT comprising 20 hospitality and retail assets throughout Asia and Europe. Prior to that Paul helped drive GIC Real Estate’s Asia Pacific hospitality portfolio as a Senior Vice President. Across these roles, he successfully directed asset strategy, drove year on year portfolio performance, accelerated cost efficiency initiatives and led several high-profile re-branding/operator selection conversions.
Paul’s operations experience includes leading IHG’s overall business in Japan as country head from 2002-2008. Prior, he held a number of sales & marketing management roles at the corporate, regional and property levels for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
His corporate experience also includes data analytics and corporate real estate roleshaving been Managing Director, Asia Pacific for Revenue Management Solutions (a big data custom analytics consultancy for hospitality & retail) as well as Vice President for Goldman Sachs’ CSRE division based in Singapore.
Paul holds an MBA from the Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration.
