Bio:
Perry Tan is the Founder and Managing Director of Pegasus Capital, a dedicated Japan real estate investment manager backed by multibillion‑dollar institutional LPs across the US and Asia, as well as several notable family offices.
He is also the Co‑Founder and Shareholder of Wayfarer, a Tokyo‑based hotel operations and technology platform established in 2019, which today operates over JPY 40 billion of hotel assets on behalf of real estate owners.
Prior to founding Pegasus, Perry worked at multiple award‑winning hedge funds, spanning long/short equity, deep‑dive fundamental special situations, and friendly activist strategies across multiple asset classes.
This multi‑asset‑class background—combined with hands‑on operating experience as the co‑founder of a hotel operator—provides Perry with superior sourcing capabilities, differentiated market insight, and a proven ability to drive investment performance for Pegasus investors.
Perry graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Economics and holds the CFA, CAIA, and FRM professional designations.
