Serena Lim

Bio:

Serena Lim leads The Ascott Limited (Ascott)’s global business development team, driving the company’s portfolio growth worldwide1 through management and franchise solutions. 

In expanding Ascott’s geographic reach across key growth markets, Serena and her team deliver sustainable growth and value for owners across accommodation types including serviced residences, hotels, resorts, social living properties, and branded residences. 

Prior to joining Ascott, Serena was Vice President, Development, Southeast Asia and Korea at the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), responsible for leading IHG’s development strategy and extended growth teams in the region. She played an integral role in implementing initiatives to align culture with strategy and processes as a key member of the leadership team. 

At Marriott International, Serena was Regional Vice President, responsible for development efforts in Southeast Asia. While at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, she led the company’s expansion across Southeast Asia, while overseeing feasibility and strategic planning efforts in Asia Pacific. 

With over two decades of experience in hotel development, strategic planning and feasibility, Serena graduated on the Dean’s List with a Bachelor of Science (Distinction) in Hotel Administration and Major in Finance at Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration.
