Venessa Koo

Venessa Koo is Vice President, Business Development, at The Ascott Limited. In her position, she plays a pivotal role in shaping Ascott’s business development strategies to expand the organisation’s portfolio and is responsible for driving market-specific growth targets across markets including the Philippines, Vietnam and Taiwan. 

With over 25 years of experience in hospitality operations and consultancy, Ms Koo brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Silks Hotel Group (formerly Regent Hotels & Resorts), where she led strategic initiatives that fostered quality growth and delivered exceptional value for hotel owners, operators, and shareholders. 

Prior to Silks Hotel Group, Ms Koo was responsible for AccorHotels development in 11 Asian countries and other key roles with companies including PwC, KPMG, Regent Hotel Taipei. Her diverse experience across these organisations underscores her knowledge and understanding of the global hospitality industry. 

Ms Koo holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), Toronto, Canada.
