Session details:

The Japanese hotel sector is enjoying a light tailwind boosting performance in selective markets at the same time as headwinds and crosscurrents from a variety of national and international economic and political circumstances. In particular, a sharp rise in inflation, interest rates, construction costs and a persistent labor shortage have caused severe challenges to investors, developers, and operators alike. New builds are down and demand for existing hotels is skyrocketing. Seth Sulkin will talk about how the investment market is adapting to this new reality.
